AOS interview, new tax info?

Hi everybody!

I was supposed to have my AOS interview today, but we were called an hour before the interview and were informed it was being rescheduled because of a flood during the weekend (yeah, great, what are the odds? it hasnt even rained here!)

Sooo, my questions are:

* Given the interview will be in a month from now, I guess we will be needing all the new tax returns, W2's etc, right?

* We have a co-sponsor, do we need his ORIGINAL W2's, tax returns, pay stubs, etc? or copies will suffice?

The filing date for the 2010 tax returns is not until April 15, 2011. If you have not filed, I am not sure why this would be an issue since you are not *required* to have them finished yet. However, it might be a good idea to go ahead and file them and have copies. The more proof you have to solidify your marriage the better!

Packet 3 paperwork mailed to Rob 6-12-10

Everything mailed to Embassy 7-19-10

Interview Date: 9-14-10- Approved pending non-machine washed replacement passport.

Entry to US- 10-6-10 POE- Newark

Wedding- 10-23-10

AOS

Mailed AOS paperwork to the Chicago lockbox 1-7-11

Delivery Notification 1-10-11

Text stating application was received 1-20-11

Check Cashed 1-21-11

NOA 1 received 1-22-11

Biometrics letter received 1-29--11

Biometrics appointment 2-24-11

Received notice- I-485 has been transferred to the California Service Center 2-9-11.

3-11-11 - EAD production ordered

3-19-11- EAD Received

3-31-2011- AOS approved without interview

The filing deadline this year is actually April 18. The government is giving an extra weekend. Until April 18, the latest tax return is 2009. After April 18, the latest is 2010. If you do 2010 earlier than that, then use it, but it's not required.
