Should I ask my wife to get a Police Certificate and send it to me BEFORE my I-130 gets approved? The reason I am asking this is because I here that the police certificates are good for 3 months and I do not want it to expire before I get to use it. I also read somewhere that even though the 3 months are up the certificate is still good for up to one year. Can some one give me some input about this?

Yes, just after NOA2 approval, NVC will require you to send this to them for document processing.

Every country is different. For example, we will be going thru the consulate processing in Costa Rica where police certificates are only good for 90 days, and not one day longer. But the consulate has already told us that if it has expired by the time it gets to them from NVC, they will ask us to get a new one, and they are issued on the same day, so it's no big deal. Check your local regulations and talk to the local consulate, and you will then know what to do.

yeah if they are not approving I-130 now better wait,

or you may have to redo it again. Lucky Ukraine is 6 months

so my wife is picking hers up today.

now lets hope we make it in time if not it only takes

7 days to get new one. So it really depends on when your approved

Good LUCK :)
