Hello I was just curious but on the DS157 it asks you to list your 2 previous employers not including your current.

Im wondering why is this? will they contact them? Why do they need contact numbers?

All help would be appreciated

06/13/11- AOS approved, card production ordered
06/20/11- Green Card Recieved

04/25/13- ROC package sent

04/26/13- ROC pack delivered

They want to know your employment history for background checks. I have heard of them contacting employers after an interview, when the beneficiary was put into AP, but only in high fraud countries.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

So its more just incase they are not quite sure about you they may then contact them?

I listed one of the employees as someone who i only helped out a few times over the space of a few years cause they were short of staff!

But the employer was someone i did work full time for in a previous business they ran!

Unless you blatantly lied, or your employment history doesn't match up with your travel history or some other biographical data, I doubt it will matter or even come up. I have never heard of them checking with an employer for a European beneficiary either.
