Hello,

my fiancee and me are currently waiting on the NOA2 and I read thru this forum where people suggest to collect all the papers you need after NOA2.

So my question is who do I need to contact to get a police report from USA? I've been in USA with a J-1 visa and worked as an Au Pair for 21 months.

I appreciate any advices!

2011-04-08 NOA 2

"Wait for the person who pursues you, the one who will make an ordinary moment seem magical, the kind of person who brings out the best in you and makes you want to be a better person; wait for the person who will be your best friend, the person who will drop everything to be with you at anytime no matter the circumstances, wait for the person who makes you smile like no one else does and when they smile you know they need you. Wait for the person who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats and a t-shirt, but appreciates it when you dress up for them. And most of all wait for the person who will put you at the center of their universe because that's where you belong."

You don't need a police report from the USA. Just your own country or other countrys you stayed in more than 6 months.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Here in the US unless you have a specific requirement to notify the police because of apart criminal judgement against you normal citizens do not need to report to the police. There is none to be had.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Well, am I misunderstanding something? I am a german citizen and lived for 21 months in Indiana, USA. So I figured I need to get a police report as well? One from my homecountry Germany, and the other one from U.S.

Hi there,

I was an Au Pair in Michigan for 18months and i also had that question. You don't need a USA Police Clearance Certificate, none of us beneficiaries that have lived in the USA longer than 6months need one.

Hope this helps :)

You don't need a police report from the US. USCIS is going to run a background check on you anyway, so they cover the police report with that. Now if you lived in Austria, England, Norway or wherever for more than six months, then you'd need a report but not if you lived in the US.
