Hi:

My fiance and I are almost done with our I-129F package I think we have everything ready to send.

But I am worry about the the proof of having met in the last 2 years.

we have emails.but that would only prove an ongoing relationship, since the date can be edited.

we also have pictures, that would prove an ongoing relationship as well...

I was in USA as an aupair from august 2008 to september 2010... and I met my fiance during my second year of staying there.

He worked from monday to friday and i worked from sunday to wednesday and every other saturday, so we would see each other at night, and every other saturday..

we never had the chance to travel or anything in the year we were together because our jobs.

That is why i dont have any boarding passes plane tickets nothing, since we didn't make any trip together..

The only evidence of having met in the 2 past years are a few pictures wich were taken on my Birthday and you can see that in the candle says "21". I was born in November 1988 so that will show that the picture was taken in November 2009

I also have my passport where it shows that i entered to the States in 2008 and left in 2010.

will be enough the picture of my Birthday with that candle on it, and copies of my passport with the stamp of having been in USA to prove having met in the past 2 years??? Should we also ask friends of him to make affidavits that we had met in the past two years.

I was also going to make my fiance write a letter of why we dont have much evidence. And write in the copies of my passport and my birthday that is the only evidence we got.

I hope that will be enough

i think your visa and stamps that you got in the united states airport should be enough.pictures are NOT primary evidence,no matter what they are,or how special they are, still not the primary evidence

+1

The passport stamps should be more than enough proof to satisfy the "Having met in 2yrs" requirement. Good luck on your journey!!!

If your passport says you were in the States 2008-2010 working, and your fiance is the USC, who was living and working in the States 2008-2010, copy all your passport pages, including the picture page, and that will be excellent primary evidence!

The main thing is "can you prove you were in the same COUNTRY", which is why boarding passes count at all, even if they don't have much to do with the actual city where you spent your time.

My USC fiance worked in Canada for an American contracting company from 2007-2010. We only met in 2009, but the fact that he worked in my country is relevant primary evidence. Make sure names and dates are on the photos you submit, and the emails/chat transcripts you submit, and they will support the fact that you met in the last two years even if they don't explicitly show it. They won't look at the pictures or emails thinking, "Hmm, this date *could* be fake" if you've proven you lived in the same country (ie. America).

To add to our evidence, my fiance and I both wrote letters describing how we met and fell and love (keep it to a page!) and had my roommate and his mom write similarly themed letters, testifying that they'd met the relevant party and had seen us together often and while we grew in our relationship and how happy we'd be together etc etc. The most important thing about these letters is that they MUST show the author's name, address, date, and SIGNATURE. These letters are not required and they do NOT count as primary evidence but they *can* support your case if you're worried about primary evidence, and they certainly can't hurt.

Good work getting this sorted out before you submit the application and good luck!

i had a similar problem trying to prove that we were both in the same country at the same time. the passport stamps are great evidence, and i agree that you should make copies of ALL pages of the passport or at the very least the pages with the relevant stamps and your identification page. also, i think sending along a detailed explanation of your evidence helps the adjudicator understand your evidence. explain that you didn't keep your boarding passes b/c at the time you didn't know you would need them. also, if the stamps are difficult to read the airport/poe then make color copies and/or blow them up. i think it goes a long ways to also include letters from people that know your relationship, but i think you should have them notarized. it is not clear to me if this is a requirement and since they aren't typically considered primary evidence maybe it doesn't matter, but being extra thorough and overly detailed helps to back up your primary evidence.

good luck!!

If you are worried, you might also consider having friends/family who have seen you both together write up Affidavits affirming that they have seen the two of you together, giving dates/information about it. I had a couple of these my first time 'round through the process since I didn't have much documentary evidence.

I am glad that i am still that type of girl who keeps every single small paper. You never know when you will need them.

I have found my boarding passes from 2 years ago, when i entered to USA, And i also have the boarding passes when i left 4 months ago.

Evidence of having entered to the country in 2008 and leaving in 2010, besides that and the stamps on my passport. I have my J-1 form, wich also was stamped by the immigration officer =)

Plus I have my driving licence from north carolna, wich was issued in September 2009 and expired on in August 2010.

And some certificates from small classes i took while i was there.

I think that will be enough =).

Thank you all for your help =)
