Hi all. I'm applying for my wife's visa and we're somewhere in the middle of the process.

My wife received a 4 page letter from NVC. The first two pages are stating to establish communications with her. Also on the first page is the case # and an invoice #. Page 3 is the "Choice of Address and Agent". This is my area of concern. Do we check box #1 or #2? We don't have an agent acting in our behalf however, would I be that agent since I'm handling everything?(probably not) or; Would she check box #2 and put down my US address and email? Therefore, any paperwork pertaining to her from here on out I can forward to her to complete etc. Right?

Thanks in advance,

Gary

Upon further researching, this is the DS-3032 form. One last question though, When this is sent back to NVC do you include your case # on front of the mailing envelope? Just a thought but in any case I'm going to go back through the Guide to hopefully find some of these answers.

Thanks,

Gary

Also, will she only need to return the 3rd sheet/ "Choice of Address Agent"? It has to be sent postal right?

You can send the Choice of Agent through email...the instructions are on this site BUT I sent ours though email AND postal mail and the NVC only acknowledged the POSTAL mail copy. So, to be safe...send both :)

Ok. So after some thought and research I'm going to have her check box #2, fill in my address and email. It seems to make the most sense since I'm US based.

Also, it seems wise to include our case # on the ds-3032 page somewhere too. Doesn't it?

So, is this the right move? Looking for validation here.

Thanks,

Gary

Gary, checking box number two to put you as the choice of agent is the best choice since NVC would send you all the bills and ask you for wathever information they need, since you are here in the US it makes it easier and faster to get anything form them. Have you called NVC to give them both of your email addresses?????? if not you should since you could fill out the choice of agent form online and email to NVC for a faster response as long as it comes from her email address of course. Members here on VJ recommend that you do write your case number on the top right hand corner of every paper you sent to NVC just to be safe.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
