Interview Date.......

Dear All,

I heard from NVC Yesterday and they informed me that our interview was scheduled for 7 March. We requessted them if they can reschdule it and can let us have any early date may be In Feb.

They told us to call US Consulate in London and ask if they can do so... We called them today and they requested us to put in writting along with the reason...

Please any one can advise if it will work or have any one has done anything like this in past??????

Typically a consulate will reschedule for a later date, not an earlier date.

If you are trying for an earlier date, that usually falls under expedite, you need a DARN good reason for it. If you have no proof it will not be granted. Like active duty military deployment in the next few weeks/month to an active combat zone. Proof of orders from the military. Major medical problems with letter from doctor to prove it etc.

To do an earlier date you need a good reason, they normally send out interview date as and when the interview slots are made available and I am guessing for your case earliest available was given out to you.

If you guys think you have a good reason why the interview needs to happen in Feb and not in March you guys can give a shot.
