It seems like NVC delayed the Scheduling for Interview Dates... there hasn't been anyone I've seen scheduled from recent Case Completion...

I keep getting the response from CSRs that the Second Week of Every Month is when they schedule for Upcoming Month... My case has been completed since last week I haven't heard anything.

Can anyone shed some light here, please? I want to know, I want to know...

it's because of visa retrogression...

I wonder how it could be visa retrogression? Immediate relative visas aren't subject to any quotas and are always 'immediately available'.

Call the NVC to follow up on you interview schedule, the petitioner or the beneficiary can call for schedule.

I called them everyday ever since I got the Case Complete except Sat and Sun... I get the same response... I haven't seen any scheduled for other ones also except for people who got Case complete last week of December...

Why just certain week they schedule - why can't they schedule as soon as it is complete... just doesn't make sense...

Well, i guess my hopes for a Feb interview date is now out the window.... :angry::angry: It figures..... Grrrrrrr to them :angry::angry:

10-26-10 NVC recieves our petition

10-27-10 NVC case # assigned..

11-02-10 DS-3032, I-864 Bill received.

11-02-10 AOS Bill paid.

11-09-10 IV Bill recieved

11-09-10 IV Bill paid.

11-15-10 Sent IV and AOS packages seperately via overnight mail.

11-16-10 IV and AOS packages received at NVC at 11:22am ..... Now the wait begins again :(

11-30-10 Both packages entered into NVC's system awaiting review.....

12-07-10 RFE. A simple fix , But i need to wait till replacement page of Ds230 arrives, then overnight the checklist stuff back to NVC.

12-15-10 RFE docs arrived via DHL from Judy...heading to the Post Office to overnight to nvc

12-15-10 Overnighted the RFE checklist docs to NVC

12-16-10 NVC recieves RFE checklist docs

01-07-11 SIF ..... Thank you God...

01-10-11 Case complete, now waiting on the interview date email...

01-24-11 Finally got the interview date. March 1 @8:30am Thank you God. Now i can be at ease

02-04-11 Wife got a letter from USEM in Manila rescheduling her interview... was March 1, now Feb 17 ... ;)

02-07-11 Medical, day 1 of 2 (Passed)

02-08-11 Medical, day 2 (Passed)

02-17-11 Interview.... APPROVED.....Thank you GOD

02-28-11 Visa in hand!!

03-14-11 Departing Manila for her 24 hour flight to me

03-15-11 My baby is HOME!!!

03-21-11 Welcome letter and GC received

there is visa retrogression if you take a note on the priority dates being processed by NVC..F2A and F2B as well as other categories are affected as well... I am also an immediate relative, I was filed under F2A (unmarried children below 21)...My PD (Oct 2007) became current on June 2010...

At first, the PD's being processed were so fast that by September they were already processing PD's of 2010 (in F2A category), 2002 (in F2B), 1995 (F3), 1991 (F4)...And then retrogression happened ( I dont know the exact reason) but February of this year the PD's that are being processed reverted to 2008 (F2A), 1999 (F2B), 1991 ( F3), 1988 (F4)...

In other words, even though the processing of your cases started a long time ago or in some cases, have completed it, there will be a delay for when you can have your interview if your PD is not yet (again)current. You need to wait again for your case to be current before NVC can provide you an available visa.
