Hello

After I became a U.S citizen I applied for my parents and they got their green cards under IR5 category. I understand that none of their children (my siblings) regardless of age could get green cards under IR5 and that it is only for parents of U.S citizens. So i have filed separate petition for each of my siblings.

But I have been accused many times by few people that my sisters/brothers that were under 21 at the time my parents got their green cards could have come with my parents but I just didn't apply that way.

Can someone please post a link to an official USCIS or NVC web page that answers their questions?

No, they were not eligible as a derivative benefit for you parents petition. No immediate relative of a USC (defined as children, parents & siblings) are ever eligible for derivative benefits of another immediate relative's petition.

YMMV

It is difficult to find a quote, because USCIS tends to describe what your rights are and what you CAN do, not what you cannot do- otherwise, one could argue they'd need to post that you cannot petition for your second cousin or neighbour from back home... The relevant blurb mentioning parents is here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=9c8aa6c515083210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=9c8aa6c515083210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD
