Hi I have just received my interview date for AOS and I had a few quesions pertaining to that.

I was wondering what kind of questions do they ask you?

If my spouse attends the interview with me, does he get interviewed to?

What sort of things should i bring to the interview?

Thank you

If your AOS is based on marriage your spouse must attend with you. They usually look over the proof you proved and the stuff you bring to show you are married and may either ask a few questions is you have lots of proof or decide to separate the two of you and give you a detail interview if you didn't provide much proof.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Here's a list of AOS example interview questions: http://www.visajourney.com/content/exampleq#aos

Yes, according to the reviews the spouse is often asked questions too. You can check out reviews of interviews in your local office here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/

I'll let someone who knows more than I tackle the "what to bring" because I'd probably leave something out. :) For that I'll just say bring originals of things you mailed in copies of in the AOS packet, and bring multiple types of evidence of bonafide marriage, both originals for them to see, and copies for them to keep if they want to.

Here's my personal list, I'm sure others can add to it:

joint bank account & credit card statements

car title/insurance/registration in both names

lease or mortgage in both names

photos of wedding, honeymoon, families together

wedding scrapbook

cards to each other

cards mailed to both at the same address

e-mail inbox searched on spouse's address

phone bills (same address), calls/texts to each other highlighted

health insurance in both names

life insurance showing spouse as beneficiary

retirement account statement showing spouse as beneficiary

joint tax return

hotel receipts showing both names
