Question about DS-156K

So I downloaded the form and was about to start typing, but it kept saying "Invalid Format" each time I would type something in ANY field. Therefore, logically I am thinking that that form has to be hand written? Just wanted to confirm. I will appreciate any insights. Thank you in advance!

some embassy use electronice form ds-156 they have a new one ds-160, some embassys don't use the electronic ds-156 or the ds-160,

No, no, I am talking about DS- 156K, not DS-156. DS-156 I typed on the computer with no problems. Thank you!
