My(Wyoming) NSC is Nebraska where I sent our papers (Received July 19th). Two weeks+ later (August 11th)I get receipt (Dated Aug 4th)from California :( , where it looks like they placed my wife on the list. If true-it cost us those 2 weeks+ . California shows they are still working on I-130s back in Feb 06. I've tried to get through to a living person at USCIS to find out why the papers were sent to California, but with no luck. :(

Does anyone have a clue as to why an NSC would forward an application to a NSC that is not listed for your state? How do you get hold of these people other then their 1-8xx number. :help:

Any assistance/knowledgeable ideas will be welcome!

Thanks

Best of Luck!

Sincerely!

Bernie

I can't help you but just want to add that the same thing happened to my brother. It took so long for him to get his NOA1 and when he finally did it was from California not Nebraska. If that's where they wanted it send they should have stated. And the I129F was sent somehwere else too. I agree with you that all this time was wasted because of this. I'm just glad he received his NOA1's because I was getting worried.

When do I send the I-129F. Is the receipt I received called the NOA1 (Maybe I missed something on the Receipt)--or do I now wait for this to come from California?

I just sent mine in on the 18th to Nebraska. I know that all I-130's are being foward to CA. My govenor said that I should recieve my recipet in 2 weeks and then I send out the I-129F. So this should happen hopefully this week to come. Best of luck.

I thought the I129F was to be sent together with the I130. I followed the guideline on this site to help him with it all. The NOA1 is your receipt and you can go to uscis.gov to check the status and see if your case has been touched.

I-129F for K3 goes to the Chicago lockbox *after* you receive your NOA1 for the I-130.
