I filed for my spouse in Aug 27 2010 NOA1; file transferred from CSC to TSC; file been sitting in TSC since 11/30/2010; when i call uscis automated system tells me that it will take 180 days from the time since file transferred before decision can be made. that means it would be sometime in May 2011; i thought it would be 5 months before processing is done for I 130. plz advise if someone has gone thru w/my situation; is uscis playing some kind of game? 5 months is all over the netfrom NOA1; transfer file after x number of months and then another 6 months; what is their goal 1 year.....

can someone plz advice; should i cancel this I 130 and file from abroad?? last time when i did w/x spouse it took 3 months for comeplte prcess including visa/POE....

plz someone plz tell me...eachday seems like a nightmare........thanks in advance

Have patience, there are many people like you transferred to TSC and waiting [including me]. I don't think you would have to wait again 5months after being transferred. There is a thread about that already called "from CSC to TSC" find it and read it, you will find answers to your questions. Good luck!

One thing that you may be able to do is schedule an Infopass appt with your local USCIS office. While they may not be able to directly look into your case, they can look at the workstream and the administrative path that it has taken. You can do this online and DONT Have to talk to the drones at USCIS. At least the infopass officer can tell you what's happening. nice thing is that you can do this fairly quickly. depending on where you are and where your nearest local office is, you may be able to get an appt within a week or so.

the whole getting transferred thing seems very funny to me. I would definitely schedule a face to face via the infopass. often times they may be able to tell you things in person that you will not get from the drones or even from a higher level officer on the phone.

best of luck to you - I've been there and it was torture. All I can say is that IT WILL BE OVER. BUT do find out what's going on and dont be in the dark. As I mentioned above, there ARE ways of finding out.
