AOS Interview on feb 10! confused?

Okay just a little confused and hoping someone can help me. We gladly received a letter saying to appear for initial AOS interview on february 10th, 2011. My husband has not received his work permit nor travel permit. I thought this would be received before any interview date for his green card? Are we skipping this part completely? or should he be receiving these permits prior to his interview? Help please?

My husband received his interview letter before AP or EAD were approved. In fact, occasionally people will interview for their green card/receive their green card before EAD or AP are approved or both. The green card grants work and travel authorization so it's really a non-issue by that time. No worries - your case is not abnormal

The work permit and interview are on two different timelines. The work permit is processed at the National Benefits Center, and your interview takes place at your local office. If your local office has openings for interviews, it is in your best interest to get an earlier appointment, so the whole process goes faster, wouldn't you agree? Why wait for an EAD when you can get approved for his GC? His work permit will be processed in the normal amount of time, around 3 months, completely separate from the interview. Good luck!

As already mentioned above: totally a non-issue. My wife and I were pretty freaked out when we got our interview letter before EAD or AP. The AP came just before the interview, and the EAD just after. Both were pretty irrelevant, since she was approved for her GC. Don't sweat it!
