K-1 Waiting for NOA2. Should I Volunteer Supplemental Documents?

6 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

I am filing I-129F for my fiancee.

I discovered that one of my passport photocopy page submitted was outdated (it was scanned into a computer file and then printed as needed) and did not contain the entry/exit stamps, even though I submitted other evidences, like copies of airline boarding passes, and photos of us two together.

Should I just wait to see if there is a RFE notice coming. Or should I just go ahead and volunteer to send in a complete and updated set of photocopies of ALL my passport pages? If I want to send those supplemental material on my own, what address should I use to send to the CSC center?

Can any one of you who have received and responded to a RFE from CSC tell me what's the procedure sending in supplemental materials and what is the address to send to? Since those will just be computer printouts, I don't mind if I have to re-send them again at a later time, as long as it does not negatively impact the processing of my case.

Sending anything to USCIS without an RFE will get this lost, it will not be matched up with pending case.

While waiting I would study all you can about the interview process in Guangzhou China, the IO's there link to hand out NOID Denials to K-1 cases like candy, the most common reason is "Non-bonnafide relationship"

I was told by the Service Center when I wrote, that if you wanted to send any additional info in, you can. (This was from the CSC, and NOT the (mis)information line.)

Thanks. I think I will volunteer to send in more documents. This is the only way to front load an abundance of evidences. Once you reach the consulate you may not be able to supplement much stuff. It's all just photocopies any way so it does not hurt to send stuffs in.

Yeah, only send in copies. Worst that could happen is it'll never make it to your petition, but then you're only out the postage.

Like my situation, send in copies, expect it wont get there.. but you never know. Maybe you'll be surprised. Expect the worst, but hope for the best, right? :)
