I received an I-129F K-1 Fiance Visa Rejection Notice for "Part B Address". I can't figure out what's missing, or incorrect. I followed the sample form exactly with the exception of leaving the Apartment Numer block blank. Should I have entered "none" in that block? For Place of birth State/Country I used Leyte/RP,is that right or should I just say Philippines. The missing or incorrect info is not identified. Is there any way to find out what the problem is?

You should have spelled out Philippines for Place of Birth (State/Country), but this is not part of the "Part B Address" field. Did you possibly abbreviate the country when filling in the address? I can't locate my source right now, but I recall reading elsewhere that the country should not be abbreviated. Personnel at USCIS do not know the abbreviations of countries throughout the world. You and I know that RP is "Republic of the Philippines" but this would be similar (using the sample forms here on VJ) to someone abbreviating Australia as CA (Commonwealth of Australia).

It's also a good habit not to leave any blanks unfilled. N/A would be appropriate for the "Apt. #" field, although I kind of doubt this would have caused the rejection.

Good luck with your resubmission.

George

Best practice is to type countries in all CAPS as in PHILIPPINES. The address field says "State or Country", so just PHILIPPINES. When there is not enough room to type the whole country name type out as much as will fit. By the time you get to country of citizenship, you will have typed PHILIPPINES either completely or partially enough times there will be no confusion. Leaving the apt.# field blank is perfectly acceptable. Follow this format for all forms. Family names should also be in ALL CAPS but only family names and countries.

Thanks for your helpful info. I assume I should type a new corrected page, rather than trying to correct the old one. Do you think I should only submit the new correct page or should I include the returned page as wellin the package

Just then new page. If you filled it out on the Computer and saved the PDF, there's no reason to start over. Otherwise, yes replace the page.

Actually my fiancé and I got the same rejection letter, saying exactly the same thing... what we did was to put the number of my house on the field that says "apt number" even though I don't live in an apt, and on the State/Country I just wrote Brazil instead of Rio de Janeiro. We corrected these info and we sent all the packet back, they got it and they sent us the NOA1 already.

Yea, I'm curious about it because like an idiot I put "Sao Paulo" for the state or country question. Thing is they didn't reject it and forwarded it to VSC and the NOA1 they sent says "Place of birth: Brazil".

This is pretty nice! They may have a problem with Rio cuz they sent mine back lol anyway thanks to God now they got it and accepted! But I also placed my house number on the field "apt number" which I haven't done before, so just in case we corrected both info!

You should just adjust the information that they required and send it all back... house number on the field "apt number" and on State/Country if you can't fit both info then just put the country name. If everything is alright you should receive the NOA1 within 2 weeks after you send it and the NOA1 is gonna have the I-797 that is the receipt notice that shows your case has been accepted.
