bank/savings statements--help please

This may be a dumb question. I was wondering for those of you that submitted your checking/savings statements as proof of joint bank accounts. Did you black out your bank account #? also, I don't feel comfortable showing how much we make... am wondering if anyone blacked this out as well? We have printed our bank statements from the past two years to prove joint bank account since we have been married.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

i blacked the last four numbers out,if you feel safe,the gov could fine any thing about you, even if you do black it out,i have never heard of any body that had a problem,about there credit cards or other evidence,

You should do what will make you comfortable. A lot of people blackout the numbers and a lot of people do not blackout anything and both groups get approved. I didn't blackout any of our account numbers and so far nothing bad has happened. Don't forget they have all your vital information. Name, DOB, SSN, fingerprints,Birth certificate among others so blocking your account number won't change anything if they want to do something negative to you. By all means do what makes you feel safe.

I did not enclose any bank statements. Instead, I provided a formal letter from the bank manager ("To whom it may concern") about the bank accounts my wife and I had (and still have) and the fact that we both had full and unrestricted access to all of these accounts.

That said: nobody gives a hoot about how much or how little money you make. Nobody but you.
