Nope. Vietnam has no need to copy Canada's catastrophic failure policy of "official multiculturalism".

improve vietnam's culture? he sounds like a dickwad to me and i don't know a damn thing about vietnamese culture. i just find the presumption that some anonymous canadian dude can waltz in and 'improve' it laughable.

or are you referring to his (her?) entirely lower case post? it's craigslist, after all.

All of the above.

What catastrophe has occurred in Canada lately as a result of its multiculturalism? I realize the policy has been less than a success, but catastrophic?

The ad may be presumptive (from a Canadian? Go figure) But he will probably end up being the highest paid teacher in Viet Nam. Native English speaking teachers are in high demand in many countries though Viet Nam may be out of his league. He would definitely be in demand in Japan or Korea and probably get paid nearly $100,000 per year plus an apartment and living expenses, maybe a health club membership. Viet Nam may not be up to paying that for a native speaker.

Non-native speakers can be easily employed to teach English in many countries and get paid vary well. One of Alla's friends who completed her MA degree this spring is in Istanbul earning $60,000 plus a free furnished apartment, health club membership and $400 per month for persoanl expenses. She is from Russia but has an MA in teaching English fro he same university Alla goes to.

We fully intend for Alla to teach English in foreign countries in a couple years. Once she has her citizenship we can go anywhere, I can retire, our income and retirement investments will go much further almost anywhere else in the world and she will earn top dollar (tax free) as an English teacher and get us a free apartment to boot. We are thinking Rio, maybe Tuscany. With one or two year contracts we can change up locations when we want, come back at any time.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!

Whoever it is doesn't practice the rules of proper writing. I wouldn't want him teaching like that. Hell, there'd be classes of idiots like Eric that couldn't read or right at all.

What if she looks like this?
