I am new here and have been on the immigration process for a long time. First for myself (a long time ago), then my parents, and now working on my sibblings through my parents and found you guys! I feel like I finally have friends on the journey with me! I have not have to use any attorneys, yet. Hope I would not have to, too expensive.

Well, my sister went to the Nig consulate Dec 14 to try to reschedule her interview, she got her appointment letter late and did not have time to complete her medical. They interviewed her anyways and told her to come back with a 1)DNA test result between her and my dad, the petitioner. 2) Her medical. Should I expect a DNA test to be required for all of my dads children that he filed for? If so how do we get it done prior to the interview date and have the results for the interview instead of having to come back for it.

We are currently waiting for the consulate to receive the kit for her DNA specimen collection and reschedule her interview. Now my question is, now that she will have a DNA result, does she still need to bring any other proof of relationship with her like pics?

Another question, My dad filed altogether for 4 of his children, how do I set up a timeline on here for the rest of them? I could only set up one for I person.

Lagos almost always wants DNA for male parents and frequently for woman. It is a very high fraud consulate and many mistakenly think they can just bring their nieces or nephews to a life in the US by claiming them to be children. So do not be surprised if all the siblings need DNA. Talk to the company to see if the others will be cheaper because the father is already on file. If you want to do a timeline for everyone you can do it in your signature.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Thanks NigeriaorBust and Miami_boy for the quick response.

I will tell her to take whatever pics she has (which is not much, CO had told her they like 30 or more)

I guess we better start saving up money for all these DNAs huh, this first one cost $722.00! I think we will wait to be asked for it though considering the cost.

Thanks again!
