Good morning my VJ family. My honey went to his interview this morning at 630am. They let him around 730a. After he paid his visa fee ( $350 US ), 30 mintues later they called his name. A real nice gentleman. He asked him a few questions:

1. How did you 2 meet?

2. Does she have any children?

3. Do they live with her or on thier own?

4. Does she send you money, if so do youhave proof of it?

He answered these 4 questions, of course. They laughed and joke a little bit. The CO had asked him for any proof of me sending the him money. Evans said he had left that home. The man said "######". The Co said come back on March 31st with that proof and more relationship evidence. Had Evans sign a DS-136 and told him Happy Holidays. So Im guessing that the only thing holding us back and being together. Age is not a factor, so those that are worried about the age thing....DONT cos Im 20 years older then him and it went fine. One question though, what is a DS- 136?

Are you sure they weren't referring to a DS-156? That is a non-immigrant visa application.

Not sure what DS-136 is but the DS-156 is the Visa app. also why did they tell him to come back so far away if all they needed was the WU receipts? and did you not have enough evidence of the relationship. However delay is not denial Good luck!!!!

I believe that he meant to say DS-156. He told me that he had to print my name as well so I think that was the form. We had all the proof needed except for the WU reciepts. The CO just asked him to bring updated emails, chats and phone records when he returns on March 31st. Why so far away, that I dont know but I intend to ask him tonight. He was so tired this morning but I will keep you all updated. Thanks for everything. You guys are the greatest.

The same thing happened during our interview. We had our first interview in March and the second in June. All they wanted was letters we had written to each other. Once my husband took those they didn't even look at them and then told him when to return for the visa.

Keep your head up :)

As evidence, we gave them chats, emails, cards, phone records, boarding passes, intineraies and pictures. We gave them tax scripts for 3 years, paystubs, all the forms and all other requested items. They gave him back my paystubs and kept everything else. I have been calling the Embassy since 3am eastern time (8am Ghana time). I believe I will need to wait until 2p Ghana time. I just am not sure what they need because he has all the reciepts. It just doesnt make sense to wait 3 months, should i say 4 months ( March 31st). They didnt give him an color paper or anything so I guess we werent denied and thats a good thing! Keeping it positive and in the good Lords hands.

Sometimes the CO's in Accra get moody. We also had more than enough evidence (the CO told my husband that we had more than enough). He just wanted to see the letters we had written to each other which we had not included because we had emails and chats that were more than sufficient.

I must say that this is the first time I am hearing of the CO requiring to see the money transfer receipts in Ghana.

When Evans goes back, have him go with everything that he took for your interview and more stuff between the first and second interview.

Hello everyone. Evans emailed me the paper they gave him from the interview. It asks for more evidence and waiting for ADMINISTRATIVE RESULTS :( . They wont use take anything from after the interview date, thats what it states. So Im thinking of fly over in March and giving me as evidence and whatever else we can dig up. Will keep up with the updates. Thank you and I pray that everyone had a wonderful New Year. God bless you all.

She will not be able to fly back with him unless she intends to remain indefinitely and wait out the AP with him.

When my husband (then fiance) had his K1 interview, he was put on AP that lasted 8 months (there is a 13 year age diff between us - I'm older). One just doesn't know how long the AP will be.
