How long from interview to oath?

My mother-in-law was interviewed and approved in August 2010, we still haven't received a notice for the oath ceremony. Any idea how long this process should take? We are in San Diego.

for me, it took about 6 weeks, it largely depends on how fast your local USCIS office processes these cases

I would suggest you to make an infopass appointment to your local USCIS field office and ask the person sitting in the front to check the case status for you (show the green card and the applicant has to be present).

I would be following it up,...

People in the September filers thread, sent their apps in around 14th Sept, and Interviewed late October, in San Diego and have had their oath ceremonies already

I suggest an Info pass appt....Maybe her name check is still pending with the FBI or something,..you can be approved but still awaiting name check before oath letter is sent.

Well it finally came in the mail. She has her Oath Ceremony Wednesday, Jan 19, 2011. Eight months beginning to end is not bad I guess.
