There was a time when I checked the pc constantly waiting for my email notification. I saw a wave of people getting approved over a month ago and that got my hopes up that at any moment, or any day I would have mine. Now it seems that was a fluke and CSC is on strike. I no longer seem to have any expectations other than if I check my email, for it to be empty. No touches in over a month also. Hardly any approvals on here.

Basically, I know it will eventually come. But I dont really expect it anytime soon after having my hopes up and crushed so many times.

(so glad I am going to see her. It helps with this)

Please people, never give up!!! Yes, it's way too easy to get married in the United States, that is a U.S. citizen to a U.S. citizen, more difficult if you want to marry someone from another country. Our great country is filled with statistics, I would love to see a statistic on the divorce rate of 2 U.S. citizens versus the divorce rate of a couple that had to go through the K1 or K3 process.

Yes it's true that the time waiting, the paperwork involved, along with a fee here, a fee there, all of this can be discouraging but HANG IN THERE!!!

Thanks,

Keith & Xiang

I just have a hard time with people putting their trust in God for THEIR situation to work out. If it does, it's because God helped them, if it doesn't it's because God had a different plan, and maybe wanted them to wait a little longer just for their own good somehow.
We'll never understand God or his timing. Nor can we prove by events that he actually exists, as you point out. But this doesn't stop us from taking the leap of faith. God will work in you if you ask. Then you'll have all the proof you need. Not by way of your logical mind, but by way of your heart, where you know about love.

All you have to know is that prayer works, especially when you're with others. God may not give you exactly what you ask for, but you will receive peace and comfort. There are religious people who's lives are dedicated to praying for the world and world peace. Someday we may know how many times they saved our bacon.

CSC is always 3-4 months behind than the other Service Centers. You're still on track it seems. Hang in there! Checkout our timeline...and that's pre-IMBRA. I can only imagine it will take longer now.

and in addition...i was not TOUCHED...not ONCE until NOA2.

I believe that you do all you can yourself, beyond that you have to have faith. Prayer helps with this. I myself have faith it will happen....eventually. I know I need to be patient and know that I have done all I can. Impatience is the part that was killing me. The frustration was having expectations that were not met. SO..it I dont hope (or expect) each day, instead I acknowledge its out of my hands.

With all that said, for some reason, I feel less stress...gotta be the trip coming up. Or maybe not having to feel guilty each time I talk to her that I have no news?

wolf

I've wrote it in here before that my fiance & I agreed to stop talking over the phone for awhile & settled on exchanging text messages. Not that I'm suggesting you do that, but what Im trying to point out was like you I've felt the "guilt" of not being able to share him any good news. Like yours, ours didn't get any touches also other than those "touch" for the IMBRA receipt. Like us, our fiance/e(s) are also under stress especially from people around them asking them constantly on when they're leaving for the US. Mine came when I wasn't expecting it, so here's praying that you get your approval soon. So take it easy, have a fun & safe trip,

I'm going home to see my HEART too!!!! YIPPEEEE!!!!

Not nec to stop talking. our relationship is strong, we are not fighting, most of the time we are so happy. Just a little frustrated (but that is together, not something that is hurting us). Its just sometimes I feel bad that she feels alone since we are apart. Now that I am going over there, even that is gonel. We would go nuts not being able to talk. That will not work for us at all. I found my baby and this has brought us closer, not pushed us apart.
