NO. The next think you want is NOA2. Anything prior to NOA2 would most likely be an RFE which would delay your case.

No the NOA1 was issued oct 20 and i got it on Oct 22 i just didnt check my mail to Nov 1 thats why it says Nov 1 on my timeline but my NOA1 is dated Oct 20 but i do expect a 3-4 month wait for the NOA2

FYI, the date your NOA1 was issued should be the date entered on your timeline. Timelines are used for VJ statistics on the USCIS. When you get your mail has no correlation (relevance)to how quickly USCIS is issuing NOA1s.

I hope I explained this clearly.

Here's to a smooth visa journey for you.

Your friend may be thinking of e-mail notifications you can sign up for through the USCIS website.

At the home page of USCIS, click on Sign-Up for Case Updates. Then follow the instructions for registering an account, and enter the NOA1 Receipt number. Then you can turn on e-mail or SMS updates (SMS messages will only be sent to a U.S. mobile number).

One of the columns is Last Updated. Every time the date changes, it means your case has been "touched."

You will only receive e-mail updates or SMS updates for major milestones in your case, such as acceptance, initial review, RFE, approval, refusal, or card production. You will not receive updates for touches.
