Hi everyone!

I got the hardcopy of my NOA1 yesterday! Yahuuuu..... :)

I have a question about an information I found on it, so I thought I would post something here...

On the NOA1, it only shows my 2nd last name (Tacia + Father's last name), and my full name is: Tacia + my mother's last name + my father's last name. Do you think, there is a problem about that?! I am worried that they will consider my mother's last name as my second name, not as part of my last name. I am also worried because I will use the NOA1 to have as a proof for my parents to carry on their interview for their tourist visa petition, since we will have our wedding in the US. I am afraid the consulate people who is going to interview my parents, will think there is information missing on the NOA1 about me... you know how methodical they are...

Anyway, I would love to hear any comments you have about this.

Thanks in advance!

Not important.

The visa will be issued in your name exactly as it appears on your international passport. You may want to mention it at the interview but it is nothing to worry about now.

I gave my in-laws a copy of our NOA2 to take to the tourist visa interview, but the officer did not require any proof of going to our wedding. You just have to demonstrate strong ties to Brasil like ownership of property, letter from the employer stating specific date of return to work, etc. My husband's whole family received their tourist visas without question. I'm sure it isn't that easy for everyone, but as long as you can demonstrate that you need to return to Brasil, they seem pretty reasonable. Good luck with the rest of the process!
