So since it's finally Thanksgiving this week. I assume that only North Americans celebrate Thanksgiving correct? I decided to do something fun since we have Thurs and Fri off work and that was to not cook turkey at my friends place this year and opt to flying myself to London for 4 days for fun by myself. Now I take it there is no Turkey Day over there at all? For some reason I only think it's a North American thing, but I could be wrong. If not, guess I'll have to have a holiday fish and chips and pints of beer for Thanksgiving dinner Thursday instead...

Correct - no thanksgiving 'over there' :) As you well know - between even Canadians and Americans our reasons/ times for celebrating are different.

and it's WAY better to have it in OCT like us Canadians do ;) now it's just in the way of Christmas.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Thanksgiving is perfect the time it is, it really makes the entire holiday season more fun this way. Makes Nov and Dec go by so fast and so much to look forward to...

At first, I didn't like having Thanksgiving in November because I found it was too close to Christmas. Now I look at American Thanksgiving as ushering in the Christmas season so I kind of like it that way. :) Mind you, not having to give up Canadian Thanksgiving makes it nice too. lol

How was the trip, Warlord?
