I'm looking at the example form provided by this website and have a question. My fiancee is in China so when she fills out this form and sends it to me does she fill in the "USCIS" address for the states or Consulates address in China? Or both? It's the "or when submitting for interview" comment that is confusing me. My understanding is that she needs to send this form to me so I can add it to the paperwork package, so only the USA address would be needed... but I could be wrong!

Fianceé Letter of Intent

(petitioner’s / beneficiary’s address)

United States Department of Homeland Security

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

(USCIS service center address)

or when submitting for interview

United States Department of State

United States Consulate, [name of country where Embassy is located]

[Embassy Address]

As always, Thanks for the help!!

If you are preparing the letter of intent to be submitted with the original application then she makes the letter of intent out to USCIS

When you are preparing the letter for the interview then you address it to the consulate in China or wherever she will be interviewing...Hope I answered your question Good luck

The VJ letter is excellent and we used it verbatim however...

The IS NO requirement to list the address of the service center. Make sure YOUR name as petitioner and HER NAME as benficiary appear on BOTH letters. Addresses (yours and hers) are optional.

You need to be sure the letter declares that you both intend to marry each other within 90 days of the benficiaries arrival in the US and that BOTH parties sign a letter. That is all.

It is best to clearly identify the letters as belong to YOUR case by making sure your names are prominently listed.
