Tracking documents

Our info was sent from the NVC to London on Nov 10th. I called London this morning (again)

case wasnt in the system yet. Ive no idea if it arrived, what they sent or anything....so... could some kind soul show me how to track the DHL thing, its blowing my mind today for some reason!

Ive just had this response from the Embassy

Thank you for your email correspondence.

Your case has not yet been received in the Immigrant Visa Unit. Even expedited cases can take a few weeks to be registered on the Embassy system. Please be assured that the IV unit is aware of your case and, as soon as your file is received and registered on our system, you will be contacted and advised of an interview date.

Great - they best pull their finger out, I have to be somewhere next month!!

this is dhl web site go online and look for Reference

you have to check when the package left the embassy, for example if you case left the 10 nov, so you put EXP 09 NOV 2010A

they dont have your case number there, just the country, it helps when your case was the only one left from that country the 10th, I tracked mine that way and worked.

Thanks M&R - well, I looked on the 9th, nothing, but 1 case was sent on the 10th and arrived on the 12th. That better be mine!

I wont be happy if it isnt. And knowing my luck - even CRN has more luck than me - its probably going across by the QE2!

Well that was a lie - I looked at it incorrectly. 1 item left the nvc on 12th and arrived on 15th....i hope that ones mine.

I think you're right mate. Well, it does look like it went out on the 12th. And got there today - lunchtime. It says the weight is 4.0lbs. Which is odd, cos the NVC never had any supporting docs from us, but quite a bit of the expedite info, so Im still hoping it is the right one.

I think Im going to apply for a job at the NVC when I get home - any queries "Attention PI Supervisor Loto" for any problems - in future!

4 lb means it has some other persons' docs too whose interview is coming up.

Or did you think NVC added a gift for you which will be handed over to you at the Consulate?

just got through to thr rudest csr at the nvc. he said it was sent out on nov 10, i said it wasnt, he got really annoyed, i asked for a supervisor and he said i dont need one, i again asked for a supervisor...and am holding now!

Didnt have to wait more than 5 seconds. The idiot was very rude and couldnt be bothered.

I spoke to his supervisor - who spoke semi English - and she helped me far more than the 'American' bothered to do. She said becuase it was sent out on the 10th it means it was put in the bins to go out on the 10th, but didnt leave until the 12th!

why they employ these idiots who dont help is beyond me.

Im glad the supervisor was helpful - as the old english saying goes - dont speak to the monkey - speak to the organ grinder!

Thanks for that tip Loto - I'll have my wife call it when shes up. Called the embassy today and my case isnt showing in the system yet. Surely it should by now if it was sent on 12th?
