Yep, all my family emailed me,lol I visited the Newport RI daily when ever we are in town--and was to be up there again soon to pick up my wifes ring!! damn them! Not a big deal, didnt taste the same! I was surprised they lasted this long. They were rarely ever busy! Dunkins would have a huge line up and Tims would be empty!!

Everytime someone here says Timmy I think of the South Park Character and not the donut shop that people seem to like. I still don't get what the facination is with the place in Canada. My friends are always talking about it. To me it's the same as any other donut shop and nothing outstanding or different. I have even heard the term "Canadian Crack" refered to it. I don't get it...

Haha my fiance and I were talking about this last night. He lives in Michigan and those Timmies do pretty well however the one in his city closed due to crappy service. I don't know if I will ever patron an American Tim's though, I'm not much of a fan of it in Canada. I also don't understand what Canada's fascination is with it, but I assume it's partially because it's "ours" and we're proud of it.

I miss Timmies. For me Timmies is a fond childhood memory. We had one within walking distance to our house and my mother would go there daily for a coffee. She would go with my father on the weekends, one brother or another would meet her there in the afternoon before/after work. I'd go with her at lunch or after school or sometimes on weekends. She was always meeting friends and family at Timmies and thats where we would have our alone time with Mom and chat. She passed away when I was in my teens and every one of us has fond memories of that place and always will.

Not only that but they make kick a$$ coffee!!

Its not that I have the "urge" to have timmies coffee, but Here The only good place i can find is starbucks...well lets compare the money difference.. I can get 3 breakfest sandwiches,a donut,a gingerbread cookie and 3 coffees at timmes or i can get two coffees at starbucks.. Its the money and fact of getting more that I like..plus their coffee is quite good
