Good evening all,

I am compiling our I-129f packet, and I am planning on using my passport as proof of my citizenship AND using the passport stamps from my visit to Colombia in July as primary evidence of the visit. My question is, would I need to make two copies of the passport pages since I'm using it to satisfy two requirements, or will a single copy of the pages suffice for both?

Make two copies of everything in the packet and keep one on hand in case they lose it ;)

As for the passport , your demographic data is probably on one page and the VISA stamp probably on another. One copy of each page is sufficient. You might want to write what you are calling attention to by circling the VISA stamp and writing a note out to the side explaining it.

If you were born in the US, why not include a copy of your birth certificate, too?

If you are a naturalized citizen, do you have your Naturalization Certificate? Yes? Why not send a copy of it, too?

I guess you could make two copies of the passport pages which show the relevant stamps (visiting and exiting Peru to see your fiancee). That way you have the complete set of copies of all passport pages for the sake of proving your American citizenship and the copies of stamps to prove that you have visited your fiancee's country.

Best wishes!

Thanks for everyone's responses, I appreciate it!

The only reason I wasn't going to include my birth certificate is because I don't have a copy on me right now... I can easily purchase a copy, it just seemed a waste since my passport would suffice for what I need the birth certificate for.

If I were you, I would make a copy of every page of the passport for proof of US Citizenship, then another copy of the relevant pages with the stamps & the bio page (so they know it is your passport) for the evidence of having met section. When you put the packet together you'll be organizing it in a specific way, and while it seems like USCIS would be smart enough to figure out that the passport stamps are supposed to double as proof of having met...I wouldn't take it for granted.

I think it would be good for you to get your birth certificate. We should all have a copy of our birth certificate, it is the kind of document that we should have -whether we need it or not.
