how incorrect are the dates? did you meet in July 2008 and he said July 2009, that sort of thing? or, was it more like you met in July 2008 and he put August 2008?

Either way, I don't think it's a big deal, but your "proof of meeting" should match up with the dates, so you may be asked about it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, but you may be asked about it at the interview, and you could explain that no, your fiance put the incorrect dates, and you didn't realize until the packet had been sent, and here is the proof that the dates you are now stating are correct.

I very much doubt it would be considered misrepresentation, unless maybe you guys added a meeting or something to make your case look better (I know you wouldn't do that!), so don't worry too much about it.

Maybe someone with more knowledge will come along and have a better answer....

Oh, if it makes you feel any better, my fiance put HIS old A-number (he immigrated years ago and is a USC, but did have an A number back in the day) in the spot where it was asking if the foreign fiance had an A number... soo basically, his A number was written as my A number. I fretted over it for a few days, then realized, if I got an RFE over it, at least we could quickly correct it. We didn't receive an RFE over it, and I was assigned my own A number.

I know it's not the same, but trust me, I was ready to fly to California just so I could scold him in person over being careless, haha

it was years,he put the wrong year, and in our first meeting,i left on feb 17th,he left on the 19th,yet he put that we were in malaysia from feb 10th to 19th,which is wrong.

im just so freaked out.the wrong year thing is not a lie, because we knew eachother for a while before we decided to you know, talk seriously and become an item, but im just precise about the visa related things, that i dk maybe to ME it seems like a big deal.

lesson learned,im not letting him do our AOS or anything else as far as paperwork goes.

i wish it was something we could get an RFE over,i wouldnt worry as much.i just dont want our case to get put on AP or denied because of his stupid mistake.

It is probably not a mess. There is no requirement to state when you began talking, etc. There is ONLY a need to state (very briefly) how you have MET IN PERSON at least ONE TIME in the last two years prior to filing the petition. If soemwhere in all the rambling he states that and the date was in the last two years (it doesn't matter if it is the exact date or not, as long as it complies with the other evidence sent) then you will be OK

If not, they will send an RFE and you give it another try.

People can cause themselves problems by running off at the mouth so much. For a PETITION the size of the box for the answer to question 18 is indicative of the length of answer they expect. I wrote TWO sentences (probably one sentencs too many) and attached passport stamps, boarding passes and ONE photo.

You will probably be OK. Most of the stuff he made mistakes on is not needed in any case.

If needed you WILL get an RFE. It will have no affect on whether you get put in AP at any point in the process. You will not be denied for this reason without an RFE first.

gary,THANK YOU.no really,i was expecting something from you or jim, since you are a VJ veteran.

what pisses me off is he didnt let me double check the petition, told me he had it covered.i know his intentions were good, but still,I-129F is really black and white,if anything we caused the problem ourselves.

the dates of the trips are correct,i left on the feb 17th,he left on the 19th,and he just mentioned that we left on the 19th,which im sure ill be able to explain if anything during the interview.

Seems like a personal matter to me.

FWIW Alla just filed for her RoC and has yet to look at or respond to anything on any form in any part of the process. She signs blank forms and I fill them out and send them. Don't worry, be happy!

If the visit was within the last two years, you are good to go. 15th, 19th, whatever.
