Hey guys!

Reading the instructions, I noticed that some instructions only require passport pictures, while other specify a size required. Should I cut them all to a the specified size or only those required?

Adjustment of Status

11/03/10 ------- AoS (I-130/I-485) Package mailed out (Priority Mail)

11/07/10 ------- AoS Package received and singed for

11/10/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (emails)

11/12/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (hard copies)

11/12/10 ------- Touches on I-130, I-485 and I-765

11/19/10 ------- Biometrics appointment letter received

12/06/10 ------- RFE for I-693 (I think the issue is that it was not signed. Called USCIS and will receive a letter in a few days explaining)

12/13/10 ------- Biometrics done

12/16/10 ------- EAD card in production (email)

12/20/10 ------- Received "Letter of Explanation" for RFE (Service Request to expedite my case. Called USCIS and was told to ignore that and just send in response to RFE.)

12/22/10 ------- Touch (Email for Post Decision Activity on EAD saying that a letter of approval has been mailed out)

12/24/10 ------- Received EAD in the mail

12/27/10 ------- Applied for SSN

12/31/10 ------- Received Interview letter

01/03/11 ------- Received SSN card in the mail

01/07/11 ------- Mailed out response to RFE (I-693)

01/15/11 ------- Email confirming USCIS received RFE response

01/31/11 ------- Approved!

Pre-Adjustment of Status:

2006 -------- Met Online

02/07 ------- Visited him in the U.S. for what was suppose to be a few weeks (Came in with birth certificate and health card. Health card expired a few months after)

08/07 ------- Decided to get married because we didn't want to be apart (in the U.S.)

10/10 ------- USCIS Medical Done

I believe a standard American passport pic is 2" x 2" which is the size required by USCIS. Someone correct me if I am wrong on the dimensions. I don't think it will be the end of the world if yours are a bit off.

I used http://www.epassportphoto.com/ to do mine and so far they've been perfect. And it was virtually free! Just the cost of the 4x6 photo print out at my local Ritz Camera.

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS JOURNEY

2009- Marriage to USC and Medical exam completed

10/16/2010- AOS Package Sent to Lockbox (I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131) DAY 0--Let the waiting begin!!

10/18/2010- AOS Package delivered to Lockbox at 11:15 am DAY 2

10/22/2010- Return receipt confirmation from USPS DAY 6

10/25/2010- Received e-mail and text message confirmation of receipt and transfer to National Benefits Center DAY 9

10/27/2010- Received 4 hard copy NOAs (I-797C) for various petitions via USPS. Recieved date: 10/18. Notice date: 10/25. DAY 11

11/12/2010- Called USCIS to ask why I hadn't been sent biometrics notice yet. Totally unhelpful customer service rep told me to keep waiting. DAY 27

12/13/10- Received biometrics appointment notice, dated 12/3/10. Appointment date 12/27 (who schedules an appointment like that so close to Christmas?!?!) DAY 58

12/14/10- Successful biometrics walk in! DAY 59

12/21/10- E-mail notice that EAD and AP are approved! DAY 66

1/1/11- EAD and AP paperwork in hand DAY 77

1/11/11- Interview letter arrived in today's mail! Scheduled for February. DAY 87

2/14/11- Interview Day: Approved! DAY 121

2/22/11- Welcome to the United States letter in mail. DAY 128

Next step: Removal of Conditions in 2012

Use only passport style/size photos. I didn't cut/modify the size of any of my pics and I didn't hear anybody doing that. :star:

01-19-2018 - Interview Letter sent

02-27-18 - Interview and Oath Ceremony. Finally US CITIZEN!

Well, the reason why I asked is that the ones we got from the store were two pictures on one "sheet". The sheet is about 6"x3". I had to cut in between both pictures to separate them, so they aren't really passport size, but the actual pictures are. ... If that makes sense :rofl:

Removal of Conditions

09/03/2012 - Window opens

10/03/2012 - Mailed I-751 via USPS Priority Mail

10/05/2012 - Arrived @ VSC

09/19/2012 - NOA1 dated (actually received 11/7/12)

12/11/2012 - Biometrics taken

12/03/2012 - Conditional Green Card expires

I am a photographer so I did do them myself to save some extra money :)

I'm not a photographer :) and did them myself too. Got my wife to take a picture of me against a white wall (turns out the only place in our house with white walls is the garage!). Created a sheet in photoshop, printed on our $100 inkjet printer (on photo paper), trimmed to size and were absolutely fine for our AOS. A lot cheaper than Walgreens and better quality.

08/12/2010 => Day 00 => Package sent to Chicago lockbox

08/13/2010 => Day 01 => Package received and signed for in Chicago

08/23/2010 => Day 11 => Email and Text receipt notification

08/23/2010 => Day 11 => Cheques cashed - $1010 and $355

08/26/2010 => Day 14 => NOAs received in the mail

08/30/2010 => Day 18 => Received biometrics appointment letter (for 9/23)

09/03/2010 => Day 22 => Did walk-in biometrics

09/16/2010 => Day 35 => Received interview letter for 10/21

10/15/2010 => Day 64 => AP received

10/20/2010 => Day 69 => EAC received

10/21/2010 => Day 70 => AOS Interview, approved, I-551 stamp and card production ordered

10/30/2010 => Day 79 => Green card received
