Congratulations! Another Texas Lockbox Oath completed!

Updating my Oath and Utah_Bound's as well.....I'm not longer an alien...I'm a proud American citizen as of today

F@rsc@p3 they did your oath ceremony same day? Nice! We still have not heard anything. I'm expecting some type of surprise about our application but I have no idea what or why. I can't believe my wife did her fingerprints on 11/10 and we have received nothing. I did call once and got the same blah, blah, blah. This is crazy. Still no updates since 11/02/10 and no letters or anything. I read the topic about fingerprints in the citizenship thread and I'm wondering if this might be the issue. My wife has a scar on one or two fingers and it took them a while to get her prints but they've managed to get them every other time. I know the technician said it was difficult but it was done.

Last Survivor, sorry to hear that you haven't heard from Immigration yet...I hope you do soon... Atlanta has Oath Ceremony everyday including Saturdays...I think you need to have the interview in the morning in order to get same day oath...My interview was at 10:45 am but I was called 5 minutes after my arrival (around 10:15 am) and it was over by 10:50 am. IO was really nice, the test was really easy and quick too...I still can't believe I'm a citizen...It's a dream come true...I'm so happy.

Hi everyone,

just back to office from interview, here is the update:

Get up around 5:30 am since interview was @ 7:20 am. get out from home at 6:20am , stop at ATM to get some cash for the parking, the overall distance to civic center plaza was not more than 25 min drive but it took me long due to heavy traffic as of first workind day after long weekend, getting nervous and worried on my way its been already 7:15. Park my car in the indoor parki g lot and rush to the buillding, its 7:25 already, pass through security check not too many people that time. The interview was at 2nd floor so took an elevator n show the appoinyment letter to the security officer, advised to put the letter in windows tray. Was so upset coz I finally handle my appointment letter at around 7:35 am. The lady took my letter < thought i'll be called realy late since there were 3 people ahead of me for N 400 interview. Wait for about 20 min n then a young guy about of my age i'm sure called my name from the backside of the door open the door for me n greets me with smile n good morning. We both sit for some time while he was looking at my file , then he asked my ID, GC n passports, ask me if I have any more old paasports, I said yes but have never used for exit or Entry to US, he still want to have copy of all my expired passports. He said he want to have a copy of them n asked if I have any documents I can placed on the table. After he back he asked me again about other documents n I said I dont have . After that we took Oath and then he starts qs from my application, he asked me if I used any other names or nick names I replied NO, but then he mention about my last nick name I said I dont use it but some of my friends called me by, then he write it down in my application.He asked about trips, yes n No Qs. He mention about Qs 16 about arrest , citaion etc. that I answer YES in my application for my only traffic ticket, then he wrote some notes on that part n move to the other parts.He never asked my any kind of proofs of payment for my ticket though i have a certified court copy.He went to my file very detailed, then he mention about some last name I used , i dont have any idea where did I used it n for what but he keeps asking me that did you ever used this last name he gave me some clues n I finally figured ut that one time I used it for some transection on the internet to buy some phone card n explain that I dont want to use my information on the net thats why. Anyway he gives me realy tough time. Finally he starts on taking my test, he starts from writing: Alsaka is the largest state. Reading: How many senators we have. Then starts the civic Qs 1- What is the name of the National Anthem 2- What is the Rule of law 3- What ocean is on the west coast. 4- Why the flag has 13 strips.. last two i forgot but was easy ones.

At the end he mention that the final approval is still pending, at that stage I thought he will put me on pending decision n also I dont want to ask him any Qs about the approval. My GC was still on the table n ask to have my GC back n he said that yeah dont lose this you will surrender it at your Oath Ceremony. I feel better when he said so, he took me to the photo copier n handle me some paper n said thankyou. When I sit in my car I look at the paper where he marked on the CONGRATULATION and Approval part. So that was the whole interview, so looks like he approved me but did not mention at the end of interview.

Hi,

I want to know if there is any kind of notice ( post interview decision /Approval Notice) the USCIS sent to the applicants address after N-400 interview OR its only the Oath appoinment letter ones expect for the Oath ceremony.

Thanks-

I would say no and the "oath" letter serves as approval since it is only issued if the case was approved.

Looks like Lastsurvivor and Me are in a race to finish line at Texas Lockbox.

My money is on you Journey05. My wife did her fingerprints a full two months before you and we have heard zilch. Feb 26th is the beginning of month #4. Not feeling very positive at the moment.

Just checked the status and I see Atlanta is now at 5.7 months for processing N400. Guessing that means 5 months plus.

I really believe there are some officers who work through their case load quickly and some who only do the minimum required. I think I know which desk my wife's file is on.

Yes I agree with the post above that some offices move much faster than others. I applied for my citizenship on Jan. 31, 2011 and got my fingerprint and interview assigned .... All within 20

Days...
