hi all

I am still compiling my I-130 packet for the CR1 .. ooooffff ... I am attempting to gather at least 2 of every "one of a kind" items such as my birth certificate, affidavits from friends and relatives, etc... and I do realize that on some items only photo copies are required at this stage and on others , not.

Since some of these items were so difficult to obtain, I am looking ahead .... far ahead ... to the time of the interview. I read that many beneficiaries are asked to provide the same type of bonafides at their interviews such as photos, etc after already providing them initially in the first application .... so this spikes my concern

I'm wondering if the items in my inintial I-130 packet will remain at the service center or will its' contents such as the bonafides of our marriage, be included in the file packet they will forward to the NVC. I'm hoping I don't have to supply them all over again.

And at that point, will the NVC require my originals or are they to be held for the interview?

Our consulate is in Senegal and it appears that it is the type of consulate where the NVC will forward such items to the consulate come interview time, but I am unsure.

I am concerned for the things I only have one copy of, like his police report and our marriage certificate. If they are to be sent to the NVC, then is there a guarantee they will in turn be forwarded to our consulate come interview time?

And on a less complicated note ... for photos, what is best ... actual photographs or computer print outs?

I've read the wiki thread several times and I must be missing something ... so if any of this sounds confusing, sorry, but it's written by a confused person ... hahaha ... so if any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

Originals submitted to USCIS with I-130 will be part of their file. It will not be forwarded to NVC. At NVC stage, you need to submit the required docs again. But NVC will forward your entire file to the foreign consulate.
