The NVC told me that I had to snail mail all of the DS-230 and I-864 documents. :( My wife did emailed the DS-3032 form just fine.

I have a question about NOA2 guys.

I read in a K1 thread that they "expire" or that there is a date about 4 months after on them that is an expiry date (im beneficiary so havent actually seen it, and hubby is out of town).

We are slacking on NVC steps, but you get a year before the case is closed, right?

Does the expiry date have any relevance?

The NVC stage stays open for 6 months between contacts. I don't know if you have to go back through the USCIS phase again if the whole NVC process ends up taking more than a year.

Where do you live that it would take over 11 days to arrive if they sent it on the 9th? Hopefully they sent it on the 18th so you will get it on Monday or Tuesday. So strange the way they are operating. I never had to call USCIS but NVC seems much better to deal with. Did they tell you what the RFE was for? I am surprised there is an RFE, you seem so focused that I can't believe you would have omitted something.

Hang in there. Hopefully you'll get through this soon.

i live in indiana not the next planet:(...i am hoping that guy today was mixed up and was sent 18th..i can't figure out what it could be either..they couldn't tell me what it was for ..my congressmans liaison did tell me to write and tell her what it was for and when i sent it in so she could keep on them about my case..that made me feel a little better....

Oh marjus girl, its so hard when you cant 100% trust what operators say. as costly as it is, if you want piece of mind make sure you call multiple times to see what they say.

This process is so wrong, how long it takes for people. Nick and I are purposely delaying out NVC stage and I just wish people like you could have got it before us.

We are still here with you, as quiet as it seems, and we will be here until the end.

Just keep the hope and know that one day all this pain WILL be worth it. We will be able to live the normal lives we dream of with out husbands.

Oh thats so ridiculous. how can it take them 6 months to generate an RFE

What did you send in initially? how long have you know each other? Do you have pictures?

I assume youve got all the chat history? even if you had something like a message that said "hi" and then maybe an hrs chat while you video chatted, and a message again to show the lapse in time you could send that in pointing out that you were video chatting in that time?

Holy #######. WTH is this? I didn't send any evidence of relationship with my I-130 and I expected an RFE for it but I passed straight through. I wonder what the heck is prompting all this scrutiny from the USCIS step, I had thought these things were primarily the domain of the NVC.

You don't need full chat transcripts, just send snippets of the less sensitive messages covering as large of a date range as you can. That's the plan for NVC for us anyway. My wife's father has also passed away and I am sure she doesn't have a death certificate. :-/

Just send what you can now and hope they're satisfied. Sure seems like they're asking for a lot though.
