I think I got the thing in the mail yesterday for voting through the mail. I thought about doing that so I don't have to take Kavi to the polls with me. But I haven't decided for sure. Guess I better soon!

I have no idea. I registered for a mail in ballot for the Presidential election in 2008 and NJ law at the time was that going forward I would get a mail in ballot for all general elections going forward, but I vaguely recall that the law may have changed since then but I don't know if it has or not. And I haven't been able to find an easy way through their website to verify whether I am still getting a ballot mailed to me or not.

If I don't get a ballot in the mail, I will go vote in person. I am male USC and registered D (as of the 2008 primaries). I am voting most likely mail because well, I think I will get one.

no. i don't trust it. how do you know if your vote has been counted?

In NJ, you can view your voting history online. If you sent in a ballot in 2008 for the Presidential election, the online history record will tell you whether you voted or not.

Of course, whether your ballot was counted correctly is a different matter altogether.

I have always found those pamphlets to be useless. But I've only ever been registered to vote in Jersey, nowhere else. What do Cali pamphlets have that you find useful?

The full text of the measure, the legislative analysis, and pro, con, and rebuttal arguments. They also include the various party platforms, and the statements of the candidates.
