Dear people

I'm pregnant right now in the 2nd month and about to file for the visa this month. Since my daughter will start elementary school next August I was hoping to get the visa before that date and move there in July due to the fact my delivery date is in May and I want to give birth in Germany because it's easier with the health insurance and my family can still see my baby before I move.

Now my question is if its really neccessary that babies need certain vaccinations before moving to the States and I remember you need to get it three times within a few months after the birth and since my baby would be only two months when moving its impossible to get all three. Or is it possible to get the vaccinations in the States?

And how do you manage getting an American passport for the baby if you arent married yet? How long will it take outside the US and what documents will they need?

I hope anyone can help me.

Thank you

Sounds like the baby will be a US citizen, in which case it doesn't need any vaccines to move to the USA. Good idea to have a print-out of what was given (with brandname and batch number), as US and European vaccination schedules are different.

Regarding CRBA, this page will get you started, as every embassy is a little different: http://germany.usembassy.gov/acs/reportsofbirthabroad-new/
