Hi everyone! I have a question with regards to I-129F question #11. My fiance was once married to a Korean. When they met she was on the country on a student visa. She went through the immigration naturalization process after they were married and she is now a US citizen. They are divorced now and my fiance is going to apply a K1 visa for me. How do we answer question 11? Hoping for immediate response. Thank you.

This is I-129F question #11.

Have you ever filed for this or any other alien fiancé(e)

or husband/wife before?

Yes No

If "Yes," give name of all aliens, place and date of filing,

A# and result. (Attached additional sheets as necessary.)

Thanks Gary and Alla. Gosh, this is a tough one. My fiance needs to find out the place and date of filling and the A#. Do you have any idea on how to do get this info other than him calling his ex to ask her about this? Thanks again.

If he has any of the paperwork from before, he can use that. If not, then he has to make that phone call.

He can't leave the information out...USCIS will have a record of the previous spouse.

He should have those records somewhere or call the ex and find out. Those things are HER information and the government is not going to give it out to him, even though it was his wife. Maybe he has some old documents or copies around.

Hi Anna , my case is almost smilar to yours except my fiance's ex-wife left the country before removal of conditions.

The answer is YES.

Place of filing= the USCIS service center where the petition was sent(take a look at NOA-2)

Date of filing= priority date in NOA-2

A# = Her alien registration number

Result= Obviously, approved.

Hope this helps...

The NOA2 if he has it, will also have her A number in the upper right corner. I understood he did not have this. He may be able to get a copy of the NOA2 by filing for it, since that would be HIS document as petitioner, not hers. but there is a hefty fee.
