Hi all!

I joined recently and just filed my I-129F a week ago. I was so glad to find this site and it answered all my questions. I learned that now ALL K-1 visas are to be sent to the Dallas Lockbox. I preferred to overnight the package and sent it to the address marked: "express deliveries", which is in Lewisville, Texas. When I tracked my package, it was forwarded to another address in Dallas, where it was signed for the next day. OK, so it went to Dallas anyways, no big deal. Today (7 days after sending package), I received an email from USCIS saying that the packet had been forwarded to the Vermont Service Center for processing! I'm so confused. The notice on this website says that Vermont will no longer be processing K-1 visas and that after September 17, they would send them back to the petitioner. What should I do? Is it going to come back to me? Has anyone else had this problem? I just wish there was someone I could call to get some answers! Help!!!!!

First of all: breathe. Its all going to be ok. Vermont and California are no longer doing K-1 intake. Texas does the initial processing of all K-1 petitions these days and then forwards them on to either VSC or CSC for adjudication. Your petition is in the right place and it looks like your NOA1 should be right around the corner. Welcome to the long waiting period!

Hi, If you signed up for email notifications, You will be receiving this soon..(your service center may be different from mine) Good Luck On Your Journey!

Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the Vermont Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number EAC**********. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

Thank you! I did receive that email and that's what confused me to begin with. I'm just going to wait for my NOA1 and not worry. I think Dallas processes the checks, so my check should be clearing soon, which means something is happening...

Form I-797 is your NOA1 ...Good Luck!
