169 day wait at Manila for cr-1

Just wandering if this is realy how long it takes for an interview ounce it's at the Embassy in Manila? 160 days +++ cr-1 visa??

Recieved Aos bill 2010-05-11

Paid Aos bill 2010-05-11

Sent Aos -n- IV 2010-07-11

Paid IV bill 2010-11-11

RFD 2010-??-12 They want the green NBI police clearance

not the one from the local municipal

Nvc received RFD response and avr back to review 2010-16-12 (Some reason it now says received RFD 2010-30-12)

Sif 2011-04-01

Case complete 2011-05-01 Wow a real Journey

Interview date notification Feb 20th,,2011

Interview Feb 4th,,,2011 8:30 a.m. Only two weeks from Notification Date

Landed on American soil Feb 12th

No it doesnt take that long to get an interview at Manila....for the most part, once the case gets there, it will be within the next month. Where are you getting this 169 day number? From beginning to end of our journey took about that long....We applied in November 2009 and had visa in had by April 2010 and Mhay was with me by May 2010. Yes I had a few different factors in mine, but many of the the people that filed at the same time got their interview around the same time +/- month.

Looking at your timeline, you sent in the I-129F for the K-3...that is why your approval shows that it will be in november. The K-3 is pretty much dead and will be closed once you get the I-130 approved as the I-129F will probably be approved the same day. Sending in the I-129F probably slowed down the process a little bit. You should probably have an approval within 90 days. Take a look at the CR-1/IR-1 timelines.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

it's very rare for a casefile, once opened at the Embassy in Manila, Immigration Visa Unit -

to just 'sit there' for 160 days.

I see you just joined - maybe is some confusion about timelines and timeticks within a timeline?

You are a May 2010 I-130 filer. Get the apprvoal first, finish NVC stage and then the interview. It is really not as 'ugly' as you think.
