I mailed package 8/26. United post tracking confirmed they received the package in Dallas office 8/28. However, we have nothing from uscis to say they put in their system. I called uscis and they have no record of our papers. I was given a confirmation number of wtc2591003207tsc, but when i put this in to check my status is has no record. i am wondering if my number look like the MOA1 number and if not, what is a confirmation number?

I'm confused. First of all I've never heard of USCIS confirmation number, did they tell you what it meant? Also how can they have had no record of your paperwork but still have given you a confirmation #? To confirm what?

If this was your case number it would start with either EAC or WAC and then end with just a bunch of numbers.

Did they cash your check?

I am curious about this too. I sent in our paperwork on 9/13. I got a delivery confirmed from the USPS on 9/15. Now I am wondering when and/or how I will get a case number so I can start tracking it on the USCIS website. Does this number come with the NOA1 or will I get it before? I know that it has only been a few days since they received it, but I just want to know what to be looking for.

09/16/10 - NOA1 (Letter Received 09/24/10)

03/30/11 - NOA2 (195 Days from NOA1) (Letter Received 04/04/11)

I think my confirmation number is to confirm i had a conversation with uscis. no sure. I think the noa1 confirmation includes you receipt number for tracking your case. I do not have that number yet, nor have they cashed my check. :(:bonk:

You will get the paperwork "receipt" in the mail. This is your number that you can track on their website (nothing like FedEx) but once there has been a change it will notify you... all I can say is be patient! I am still waiting on NOA2!
