Hi everyone! I have a doubt regarding the G-325A Form. My fiance sent out the petition for fiance K1 without this form. We got a RFE because they needed more evidence of the relationship, they didn't ask for the form. So, since they asked just for more evidence, he didn't send the G-325A Form, just a lot of proof that we met and are in an ongoing relationship. So my doubt is: Is this form really part of the initial process? If yes, why they didn't mention anything about it. Will they ask for it on the interview or are we probably going to get another RFE?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmmm...that's pretty odd that they would notice the need for more evidence but not the missing forms. I'd suggest filling them out, attaching the passport photos, and signing them so that you have them ready to go.

Hello,

Since you already need to send more evidence, I guess you could also send the missing form. What did they specifically ask you for and what had you sent to prove the relationship? (just curious why you got a RFE).

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

Yeah that's weird. I've sent the signed form to my fiance but since they didn't say anything about it, he didn't sent it. We were afraid of overloading them with things they didn't ask. And my fiance says they don't ask for this form on the USCIS site, that the only form is the I129F, but I read everywhere ppl talking about this G-325A form. I'm so confused :( I hope it doesn't delay the process too much..

They said they needed more evidence that we had met in person within the last two years. My fiance came to see me in march so he sent passport stamps, e-tickets, more pictures, hotel receipts, and all the documentation from when I went to US, which was when we met.

yes, they received it yesterday and on the case status it says that they will notify us by mail when they make a decision or if they need something...

So I don't know, my fiance says I worry too much about it. I've' thought of calling USCIS and ask about this form. I don't know if we can just send it to them if they didn't ask for it.

Okay well then you'll will just have to sit tight and wait and see if you get another RFE (if you send it ahead without another RFE letter it will likely never get paired up with your petition). In the mean time it might be helpful to list here everything that you did include in your packet so we can let you know if there's anything else important you may have missed.

Your fiance didnt read the instructions for filing I-129F. Sorry you are in for at least another RFE.

This is copied directly from USCIS website.

6. What Other Documents Do You Need?

A. Submit a completed and signed Form G-325A (Biographic Information) for you and a completed and signed

Form G-325A for your fiancé(e). Except for name and signature, you do not have to repeat on the

Biographic Information form the information given on your Form I-129F.

Ohh well :( If they need it, why didn't they ask fo it. Wouldn't it be easier even for them if they checked the petition and asked for everything that is missing?

Yeah I thought of calling them first but I guess we will just have to wait now and hope they don't send us another RFE, if that's possible lol hope is the last to die.

Actually, by internal memo and department "policy" the G-325a for a foreign beneficiary can be presented at the interview at the foreign consulate. I would get one prepared and have it ready to take with you to the interview.

The form IS part of the process. I doubt you will get another RFE, THAT would be very unusual. It is also unusual they did not ask for one for him. I would make sure you have original, signed, G-325a's at the interview for both of you.

Ohh hope you're right. I will double check everything and have the G-325a ready for the interview. Thank you a lot.
