Which address?

We are getting ready to send off our f-129 packet but I am confused about what to do about my address. It might be the stupidest question asked in this forum, but here goes.

I have been living with my fiancee in Argentina for 10 months and I do not know if I should put down my home address in the states (which is with my parents until we get there and get settled in) or if I should list the address where we are living now. Common sense tells me that I should list the address here in Argentina, but the postal service is VERY unreliable and I can't be sure that it will arrive or that any hard copies will be received by me.

I can send it to my parents and asked them to send it from there for me and have it so any hard copies will be sent to that address. However, if i do this, do I send it to USCIS's regional office or send it to the Dallas office that is used for people who are living abroad.

I will also note that I have only been here on a tourist visa if that has any impact on what I should do.

So, what do you think is the best thing for us to do?

List your address abroad on all areas that it is required and then make a note to have things sent to your parent's address in the states since you're living overseas. (This is what we did)

Where exactly did you add the note about sending to your parents? It just seems like something that they could easily overlook if its not in the right place.

I would definitly have them send things to your parents address. It is far better to have them safeguard the paperwork that will be sent than to have it lost in the mail. Plus, you will probably like hearing when you get the NOA's faster than you would if they were sent to Argentina. I would have them keep the originals and send you copies. You do not want to lose the NOA2 because you will need it later for AOS.

Here is what I sent and I put this page right after the check so they would see it before anything else.

The petitioner and her Fiancé are currently living abroad so if correspondents need to be sent to an address within the U.S. the petitioner's parent's address can be used.

That address is as follows:

Mother and Father's names

Street number and street

Zip Code

City, State

They did, in the end, choose to mail it to me directly since I did leave it up to them which one they would choose. If you definitely want it sent to your US address then you'll want to make that clear, I just did this because I thought they wouldn't want to go through the trouble of overseas postage.

Va2ba,

Knowing what the Argentine mail is like, and that you really need to get the NOAs, I would use your parents' address, not your current residence in Argentina.
