I am just starting out the process to get a fiance visa and I am confused and overwhelmed about the whole process. I have a few questions to start with.

I am currently living with my fiance in Buenos Aires. Do I need to print, fill out and mail the i-129 petition to the address given (I believe that it is Dallas) or can a relative fill it out for me?

If my relatives can fill it out for me and mail it, should they mail it to the address given for Dallas or mail it to the nearest office (Virginia)?

The i-129 form asks for the SSN number of my "alien fiance" but being that she is alien, she does not have a SSN yet. Do I need to somehow get her a SSN first? If not, what information should I put instead?

Thanks in advance!

You will fill it out, seeing as you have to sign it and the signature has to be an original. Not a scan or a copy.

For questions about filling out the forms, I suggest you check out the guides and the example forms that VJ provides. It will tell you exactly what to write in any areas you have any questions about.

You are right, your fiancee does not have an SSN and won't until the move to the United States has taken place.

You have to fill it in - since you have to sign it.

They can't. You would still use the Dallas address, per the instructions.

If it's not applicable "N/A", or "none", then that is what you write. She does not need a SSN for this.

Thanks in advance!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
