Are you a legal resident of Nigeria ? Look into a DCF it should be faster.

Filing an I-130 at post (Petition for Immediate Family Member of an American citizen)

In order to file an I-130 petition for an Immediate Relative at the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, the petitioner must have been in Nigeria for six consecutive months as a legal resident, and be able to document this to the consular officer at the time of filing. Petitions are accepted at 7:00 a.m. on Fridays, except for the last Friday of the month. The filing fee must be paid at the time of filing.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

definitely look into DCF if you have established yourself in Nigeria. Also if you filed in March 2010 USCIS still should have your petition you should be able to call or email about your petition because is has only been 5 months going to 6 now so they should still have your file and you should not have to refile at this point. When you filed in March was it received by USCIS? OR what happened after you filed in March 2010?
