is there an expiration date on the medical interview? it is seeming that montreal is just slow as hell and we are looking at 5 months till our interview according to others. we had planned on going for her medical on the 1st of september since i am here with her. that would mean it would be about 4 months till the interview. we don't want to have to pay $300 again.

thanks,

michael

medicals are good for one year, but depending on when she wants to POE and how quickly after you are marrying/filing AOS I would wait to get it done. You want to make sure the medical is still good for submitting your AOS so you only have to get a transcription of her shots rather than a whole new medical (especially as a lot of CS's down here seem to rip people off). I didn't get mine done till I got my interview letter, still had a month between that and my interview.

I would suggest waiting as well. When i was waiting for my approval i wanted to be proactive and get all my stuff together. Fortunately, I waited for the medical until I had the interview. If I hadn't it would have been extremely close to expiring when I filed for AOS. Some medical places actually require you to have your P3 or P4 before they'll schedule you.

Absolutely wait - no use causing yourselves more expense later on (and it may be more $$ then you expect) . Waiting until you get Pkg 3 is usually around when you can safely book it. Not sure where you are in the process.

Since your fiancée is in Brantford - she's onluy got a short drive to Toronto and the wait isn't too long between calling them and getting an appointment for the medical
