Changing Biometrics appointment

Hi all, we have received our Biometrics appointment letter for September 17th, is there a way to change this appointment to a sooner one? It seems that the only option they give you on the notice letter is if you cannot make it then they will set the appt later for you.

Yep, that is correct. If you do decide to get a new one, it will be a later one. First come first served...

aha I see, so there are actually that many people ahead of us, right? I thought it is random.

Usually when you set an InfoPass appointment they are available the next day but I see with Fingerprinting is different.

You can attempt a walk-in earlier then your scheduled appointment. Just take your letter and ID and go to the office and see if they will do it when you get there. No harm in trying really and in many cases they will just do it then and there.

Many people have taken the biometrics letter and just walked into the center. Generally there is no problem with showing up early unless it is quite crowded. The entire thing takes about an hour usually and can go rather quickly, so walks are generally not a problem.
