Is there a way to track K1s from CSC to the NBC to know when they receive it and when it leaves for the embassy? Will these milestones be reflected in the online status updates?

Sorry for the basic, mundane question tha I should know the answer too. Thanks for your help!

March 9 - filed I-129F to Nebraska

March 15 - NOA#1

June 1 - transferred to CSC

July 11 - IMBRA RFE back with CSC

August 3 - NOA#2

August 6 - touched

Once your K-1 is approved, you need to call the NVC to get your new case number and track updates.

The USCIS site will not tell you about NVC progress. Because the NVC is the Department of State.

MN&UK,

There is no way - because approved I-129f petitions do not go to the NBC.

I find it interesting that some have their Case numbers in a new days, others much longer. Yesterday, I called the NVC to inquire about my case number. The woman on the line told me that they do not have it as of yet. She asked when it was tranferred over. I told her August 7th. She told me it takes at least two weeks to a month for the package to be transferred. In fact, she said it is not unheard of to take 90 days!! What is up with that?

The horror! Just when I was thinking the worst was over....here we go again!

K-visas are not entered into the automated system. You must phone and speak to someone. My petition flew in and out of there... some get hung up in security/name checks... Continue to be patient.

Is it okay to call each day to check to see if the transfer has taken place? Is there a log which is kept of the number of times you have called to check? Might the NVC folks become a little "testy"? I really feel like calling 20 times day not unlike the 20 times a day I checked www.uscis.gov for any touches, except my long distance bill would skyrocket! :P
