H4 visa unemployment explanation

Hi All

I'm applying H4 visa for my wife, who stopped working in Singapore last year to prepare to come to America.

in application, an explanation is needed when I choose her current employment status as 'unemployed'

what kind of stuff is suitable for this explanation?

if I write 'prepare to come to US', will they think she got a intention to immigration?

No--unless you have filed an I-485 for yourself and are waiting to complete.

in don´t think it is an issue.

because it is supposed that H4 visa is for dependant family member who like to join the H1 holder. and as far as H4 holder wont be allowed to work in USA, it is implicit that H1 visa Holder will support her. And the employer have to certify how much money do you earn in a way to let them know that you will be able to suppot you wife.

On H4 you dont need to show why u left your earlier employement, you can put honest reason. Had to quit current job so she can move back with you.

Anyway she cannot work on H4 in US spouse on H1 will have to support all the dependants.

Correction on my last post. Even in that case, it is OK--she just becomes a derivative GC holder when the process completes.
