If you qualify for the new I-864EZ (it came into effect sometime in July 2006), it doesn't need to be notarized.

Canuck,

How would I know if I am qualified? Do you have the link that I could check? I have just downloaded the revised affidavit of support form 1/05/06

New form (I'm pretty sure that's the same one you have)

Check page 3, part 1. If you can answer yes to all 3 of those questions (or the ones on page 8) you can use it.

Thank you for the link.

I downloaded the I-864 and not the EZ, and I saw the diffrence. So my husband (petitioner) is not qualified to use this form because its "no" on letter C of page 8. I came here together with my minor son on a K1/K2 visas.

I will try to make the affidavit of support anyway, and have this notarized.

Thank you sooo much!

It depends what documents you are referring too. Weave my interview in a couple weeks you can view the attached list of the items We bringing. If you are referring to the origianl tax forms that use to have to be nortarized (I did this for my application) I beleive jsut a copy is sufficient for the interview. We are bringing copies of all forms previously sent to USCIS and origianl documents of support. Our interview package has been bound and coded and a second copy has been made for USCIS in case they would like to keep anything.

Good Luck on your interview!!

I thought the new I964 (not the EZ) didn't have to be notarized? Ours wasn't and neither was the tax info.
