Hi guys, i was wondering if the poverty guidelines would change for my fiance as he has 3 PARTIALLY dependent children from his first marriage. The kids do not live with him but he does pay child support. Will that change the threshold he will have to meet??? Thank you.

If they are minors they are not partially dependent. They are fully dependent and count as part of the number of people he must support so his household increases by that many. Partially dependent is for adult children living at home at reduced rent but fully capable of being kicked to the curb with no adverse results ( other than they probably won't speak to you for a while )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
